Masked Input fields in Forms

Masked Input allows a user to more easily enter fixed width input where you would like them to enter the data in a certain format (dates, phone numbers, etc).

What is Mask Format

A masked input is defined by a format made up of mask literals and masks definitions. The following mask definitions are predefined:

a – Represents an alpha character (A-Z,a-z)

9 – Represents a numeric character (0-9)

* – Represents an alphanumeric character (A-Z,a-z,0-9)

How to use:

Easy Registration Forms allows configuring mask format within field options. Here are examples of some of the general purpose formats:

Date: 99/99/9999 (e.g. 12/01/2018)

Phone: (99) 999-9999 (e.g. (91) 123-4567)

Mask Field Option

Once given the masking format, save and preview the form. In the above example, our masking format for Phone field is : (99)-9999999999

While filling the Phone field, the system will allow the user to enter only in the given format.

  1. The only form plugin i found that lets me insert a text field and associate it with a custom meta created by another plugin! I use this to ask my customers for VAT number when applying for a B2B account in Woocommerce. As for the EU VAT number field i used the Booster for Woocommerce (EU VAT number). I had an issue and the developer helped me way more than i expected!
